Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947) is an Austrian-American bodybuilder, actor, businessman, and politician, currently serving as the 38th Governor of the state of California. Schwarzenegger gained worldwide fame as a Hollywood action film icon, his most famous film was The Terminator. Schwarzenegger is married to Maria Shriver and has four children. Schwarzenegger was born in Thal, Austria . Schwarzenegger served in the Austrian army in 1965 . Schwarzenegger moved to the United States in September 1968 at the age of 21, speaking little English For many years, he wrote a monthly column for the bodybuilding magazines Muscle and Fitness and Flex. Schwarzenegger wanted to move from bodybuilding into acting, Schwarzenegger s breakthrough film was the sword-and-sorcery epic Conan the Barbarian in 1982.
